SPECIAL Event Day 1

Tsumami zaiku Shopping Tour!

Asakusabashi is a town for handicraft lovers!

Asakusabashi is home to some of Japan's best stores for handcrafted components. However, it is difficult for first-time visitors to make an efficient tour of the area because of its confusing location.

ITA staff will guide you efficiently to the stores that have many items necessary for making tsumami zaiku. Stores to be visited will depend on participants' preferences.

This is a great opportunity to stock up on hard-to-find tools and materials.

SPECIAL Event Day 3

Learning "Tsumami zaiku and Edo culture"

Tsumami zaiku was born in Kyoto (the capital of the emperor) during the Edo period (1603-1868), but became very popular in Edo (the former name of Tokyo).

In Edo, many of the things that shape Japanese culture today were born and spread among the townspeople who had gained economic power.
We believe that by learning more about Edo culture, we can gain a deeper understanding of Japanese culture.

1). Japanese Traditional Doll "Kimekomi Doll" Workshop for beginners at Kyugetsu(The most famous Japanese doll shop)

2). Visiting Fukagawa Edo Museum to learn about the lives of Edo citizens with professional guide.
